About the Trainers
Chris and Krestinn are Phoenixville natives who have been playing basketball their entire lives. Growing up, they found themselves as teammates on the basketball court most of their time. Chris and Krestinn started playing for PAPA and PMYC. They went on to play AAU for Club Merrymen as they entered their 8th grade year. They had a very successful season and really learned about themselves as players. Chris and Krestinn continued to play through middle school, having 2 undefeated seasons, and then went on to play for the Phoenixville High School from 2001 – 2005. The team won the PAC 10 championship, the school’s first ever title, and went on to play in the District tournament.
After high school, they went on two different paths but remained friends and teammates in summer leagues and 3 on 3 tournaments.
Chris started his college career playing for Harcum College where he helped lead the team to two winning seasons. He then transferred to Delaware Valley College to play basketball. While there, Chris was a team captain and helped lead the team to the NCAA Division III championship (the first ever for the school) and then played in the NCAA Division III tournament. This was one of the biggest moments of his career.
Krestinn continued to play basketball in various leagues but took a different role as he moved into a coaching position to help his daughter perfect her craft.
In 2015, the two officially began their coaching career together as they took on a girls’ team for the Spring Ford Travel league. They continued to coach travel for a few years together before separating to go on their own coaching paths. Krestinn continued to coach for Spring Ford travel; 5th – 7th grades and Chris coached for the Collegeville Jaguars AAU team 4th – 6th grades. While coaching their respective teams, they would collaborate and discuss different ways to be successful and realized that their love of basketball went beyond just playing. They were really loving coaching and sharing their passion for the game they grew up playing and wanted to continue to share their knowledge with other players.
While still playing themselves, Krestinn and Chris are taking their unique coaching style and expertise and are ready to share what they know with other players who are looking to extend their knowledge, passion and talent of the game.
